Doctor Attacked for Not Forcing Child Rape...

Doctor Ann Neuhaus is under intense scrutiny and unfair treatment all because she didn't force a 10-year-old child to carry the product of incestuous rape. Leave it to the so-called pro-lifers in Kansas to be absolutely insane when it comes to their not-so-moral ideology. This is a pretty confusing case, but one thing is for certainÂ—this woman is in trouble all because she took the proper stance when it came to caring for the victim of sexual abuse.

Apparently right wing ideology totally condones the forced pregnancy of not just women all over the country, but even children. No child should be forced to go through what the girl in this story went through, but idiots in Kansas wanted to one up the girl's uncle apparently and abuse her even further by forcing her into birthing her own first cousin. Doctor Neuhaus allowed for the child to get a medically necessary abortion. There are other allegations being thrown at the former assistant of slain abortionist George Tiller, but Kansas anti-choice types are really calling the abortion of a 10-year old (and other children) unnecessary. Neuhaus's response to this:

"To even claim that isn't medically necessary qualifies as gross incompetence. Someone's 10 years old, and they were raped by their uncle and they understand that they've got a baby growing in their stomach and they don't want that. You're going to send this girl for a brain scan and some blood work and put her in a hospital?"

Apparently the state morons think it's more necessary to put the child through weeks of brain checks and psychiatric care to see if the abortion was "necessary"Â—but it's pretty obvious this is just a ploy to make the kid wait until it's too late to abort. Who the hell do they think they're fooling?

Many of them are, James, especially in Kansas. Think: Westboro Baptist Church. There's also a church in Seneca, Ks. that recently had some press because the pastor thinks the police should be given the task of shooting anyone who is admittedly gay in order to satisfy scripture. The problem is...the bible does not say to do that. Anywhere. So that church represents even more christians who are idiots.

Chelsea, I cannot find anything about the uncle of the ten year old being prosecuted for getting her pregnant in the first place. Also, a lot of people are up in arms about the fact that this girl was 20 weeks into the pregnancy when the abortion was performed....yet...at ten, a girl does not always have periods or regular periods; she might not have known to tell her parents, especially if her uncle manipulated her into not telling in the first place. I am beginning to think that the only answer to this nonsense with Kansas is to practice medicine at the borders of Kansas and neighboring states, right over the border. Kinda like buying liquor right across the border of a dry town!

Would you believe that in pro life Kansas, there is also no access to medical care for a high risk pregnancy in most parts of the state? Unless you want to travel to Nebraska or Colorado, or live close to Kansas City, you are out of luck of you are high risk for some reason.

I dont care if the kid was 7 mos pregnant, the kid should have the right to abort. That is no way to come into the world. Id rather kill an infant in utero then let it live a life knowing that their mother is also their first cousin. Its not fair to either child and nobody should be mad at her for having to make that choice, it wasnt her choice to have sex with her uncle to begin with. Im very greatful that abortions are still legal, and they should continue to be, hopefully this little girl can overcome some of this trauma, and get some therapy so she can go back to school this fall and play with her friends like every other 10 yo little girl should.

I agree, Amanda. The baby would have been messed up (if not physically then psychologically), the ten year old girl would have been messed up for life probably. She wouldn't have been developed enough to give birth naturally so a C-section would have been performed most likely - can you imagine - on a 10 year old? There was a time ten year old girls were playing with dolls or baby brothers or sisters - not babies of their own.

When I was ten I had a ballroom dance barbie doll that spun around in circles, and I changed maybe one diaper and it was my brother and I swore to never agian, and then at 18 I got pregnant..with a boy lol :) When I was going to school we had a little boy whose parents were brother and sister. He'd right "your name" in the space provided to write your own name on homework assignments, and oddly looked like their sibling. He was dyslexic, color blind, and the poor kid had one arme very noticeably longer then the other. In 1997 he had wandered into a stream and ended up drowning. Youd think the brother and sister (his parents) would have learned, but nope, they have twin girls who are down syndrome. They care about their own happiness and that is it.

"In stripping Neuhaus of her license, the board accepted the findings of an administrative judge, who concluded in February that Neuhaus "seriously jeopardized" the care of her patients. The case against her involved mental health exams done in 2003 on 11 patients, ages 10 to 18. The judge said Neuhaus' records didn't contain enough information to show that she did thorough exams."

Neuhaus was the "second" opinion for the late (murdered) infamous late term abortion Dr. Tillman from 1996 to 2006 who's abortion clinic performed literally thousands of late term abortions where other clinics would not.

the 10 year old patient is part of the story; and the issue wasn't that they wanted the child to be given mental health exams to "see if abortion was necessary" - it was that they wanted to postpone the abortion to the point that it was medically impossible for her to get one.

So you would have liked the 10 year old girl to give birth to her first cousin? Your a very sick man.

This doctor lost her license to practice medicine knowing that letting this little girl have an abortion was the right thing to do. I would have done the same thing. She saved her lfe, someone who already exists, someone who already has to deal with the reprecussions of her uncles actions, and it was very brave of this little girl to be so selfless, to go through a very invasive procedures to have something that is apart of her removed from her body. She could have given birth to her child/cousin and subject it to the redicule of every individuals personal opinion for the rest of its life.

Lets not forget the point of this article Dan. A little girl can go to school this fall. She can enjoy recess, she can atleast try to enjoy some of her childhood that hasnt been stolen away from her by her uncle, and men like you who think she should do the unthinkable.

I feel bad for you, instead of realizing the miracle, you victimize Chelsea. As usual. You dont even care about the little girl.

Heres a list of vocabulary words you can look up, you'll soon realize their definitions do not corelate with your explantions. If your going to use big boy terms you might want to know what they mean. Just sayin.
