Dena Schlosser lost her job at Walmart after it was revealed to her boss that she had been previously incarcerated for cutting the arms off of her 10-month-old child. The crime occurred in 2004, and Schlosser was found covered in blood while singing Christian hymns. She had just used a knife to chop the arms off of the infant, and even confessed to it over the phone with a daycare worker. The woman has a Wikipedia page that tells the entire disgusting story of depravity and child murder. Google it.
Anyway, she's since changed her name and landed herself a cushy-classy job as a Walmart associate. News station WFAA-TV in Texas notified her employer that Dena Laettner was in fact the notorious Dena Schlosser. Walmart then fired her.
So this is one of those conundrums, right? She supposedly "paid her debt to society," but the crime she committed was just so grisly it seems like there is no amount of penance that would render her worthy of even living in society. It should be mentioned that she was released from psychiatric care in 2008, doing only four years (didn't even do prison time) and she was later hospitalized a second time, being released in 2010. So it's rather obvious that she does display the personality of someone who cannot stay out of the nuthouse long enough to contribute to society fully.
This woman's mental illness resulted in the brutal death of an innocent child and Walmart is a family establishment, meaning she's been exposed to other people's children on a regular basis during her employment. To be opinionated, she deserved to be fired. However, there is still that tiny feeling of it being a tad bit unfair.

Mental illness is just that. An illness. Some cases are tratable, some are not, some more difficult to treat than others.
I know little background as to her particular diagnosis, but there is a well know psychosis that some women are suseptable to and is induced or triggered the pregnancy (hormonal changes, etc...) and is known to get worse with each successive pregnancy.
It's gotten to where everytime I hear of a case of a female doing some particulaly disturbing, weird, something to someone, I ask outloud to whomever is telling me about the case, "How many children does she have and how old is the youngest". Sure enough, she has several children, and the youngest is under a year old.
It would be interesting to get the medical info. as to if tyhe doctors spotted her psychosis after the 1 baby, and warned the couple against any more pregnanies, and if she was already being treated for the psychosis, but ran out of, or did not take her medication.
I wonder if the woman in this case is on some type of probation, also.
Yes, such as with Andrea Yates. The more children she had the more psychotic she became. Doctors informed her not to have anymore children and 7 weeks after she concieved the youngest.
The day she killed her 5 children she locked the dog up so he wouldnt get in her way of killing her children. She drown her youngest two boys, put them in her bed, then drowned baby Mary leaving her floating in the tub and then her oldest came in and asked what was wrong with the baby. He at that time figured out what was going on but his mother caught him and fought with him under the water and left him floating, putting baby Mary in his arms.

Can you imagine baby Marys struggle, and the fear the oldest felt? She said she killed them because the way she was raising them they would burn in Hell. My mom ran me over with a car and I survived but you dont see me making bad choice because my mother is a nutcase. Wasnt her choice to make. I have no sympathy! That is obvious!
Now about the women who cut off the babies arms?? Where was her family?? Seriously was there no one around her that noticed changes in her?? Wasn't there a husband?? Mom,Dad?? Really?? Or did she just snap and one day decide to cut the babies arms off. She should have never been let out!!
Walmart is very restricted! They fired my sister over a dirty urine, and Im thankful that their so strict now, im just suprised that she even got hired to begin with. The neighbors thought she was normal, shed come out and wait for her kids to get off the bus with the baby and walk around with her at the same time every day and was outside playing with them supposedly all the time but the hubby was a wack job as well so im sure they hid pretty good.
JUST REMEMBER THAT MURDERING A PERSON IS A CRIME, BESIDES BY MURDERING THAT MOTHER YOU WON'T TURN BACK TO LIFE THAT LITTLE BABY. TORTURING, AND KILLING A CRIMINAL IS NOT ONLY EVIL, BUT IT IS STUPID AND VERY ANTI-SCIENTIFIC.
