LGBT activists in Grand Rapids, Mich. were threatened by a group of hateful protestors who spewed bible verses at them. What's unsettling about this is that authorities in the area refused to do anything about it even though the biblical protestors were shouting threats of rape and murder at the activists who were simply attending a "Gay Day" event.
"Back in the day there was no free power, there was no going to the mall. There was, 'sit your ass in this house until I bring my ass home," shouted a man."
A second protestor shouted the following:
"And if your ass get to going out there like you said, guess what? You get raped. And that's what's going to happen to you. ... Keep your p*ssy clean, that's all you need to do. Do you understand?"
One of the protestors then began quoting verses from the bible, in particular a quote from Isaiah 13. When asked to explain the verse he said the following:
"What does 'ravished' mean? It means, we going to rape your ass. And I'm going to have fun doing that sh*t. And you going to like that. I promise you."
Basically, members of the LGBT activist group were being threatened with rape by a group of hate-spewing Christian bigots. That's not entirely surprising, but what's surprising is that nothing came of it. Threatening to rape someone is illegal, yet police in Michigan did nothing about it. Since when is threatening to rape a person a part of a peaceful protest? It seems as though the police discriminated against the safety of the gay-rights activists who were merely attending an event focused on gay rights and equality.
When is this Christian zealotry going to stop? Are Americans so far in the dark ages with their heads up where the sun doesn't shine that threatening rape isn't condemnable?

Please note that judging ALL Christians, is no different than racism. Stereotyping blacks is no different than stereotyping Christians. It requires the same lack of brain function to hate by race as it does by religion.
Clean up your act.
Very well. Let's judge ALL Christians by the few you know and dislike. We will judge ALL blacks on what a few do as well. Same difference.
We float our moralities based on what makes us comfy as individuals.
your issue is a nonissue
But... let's let this follow a natural course. I will read your posts and when you stereotype, I will point it out. If you don't stereotype, then you won't see my name in your comments...
Fair enough?
This sickens me. If these guys would just stop and ask themselves "Is this something Christ would have done? Is this going to make the Bride look shameful?", we would get a hell of a lot less garbage like this.
Forgive my mini-sermon. I just get quite angry at these pseudo-Christians who hide behind the Name of the God I serve to promote their petty, shallow bigotries.
"WWMT reported that the men were part of a Christian black supremacist group called the Black Hebrew Israelites. According to the South Poverty Law Center, the quickly spreading movement preaches “a frightening, racist theology that says Jesus Christ is returning soon to kill or enslave white people, Jews, homosexuals, and others.”"
Another disingenuous posting....See if Chelsea had posted this part of the story then she couldn't implicate all christian like she did.
