A photo of Dark Knight shooting suspect James Holmes standing next to a llama has been released to the public, and his lawyers can't be too happy about it.
The accused Batman gunman is currently in jail, facing 142 charges related to the Colorado shooting. He included the strange picture in his application to the University of Illinois neuroscience department. Despite the bizarre pic, he wound up getting accepted, however he chose to attend the University of Colorado-Denver instead.
The college released the picture to the Associated Press, after the news agency submitted an open records request. It seems like it should be harder for the media to obtain these types of records. Why did the University of Illinois acquiesce so easily? In the snap, Holmes is standing next to a llama, sporting a pair of wraparound sunglasses, and pointing a piece of straw at the animal.
Regardless, Holmes's defense team can't be pleased about this. After all, everyone in America thinks this fellow is a complete psychopath, and this bizarre photo doesn't help change that image.
What was he thinking when he took this snap? Most likely, he was just being humorous, and was trying to show another side of his personality to the admissions board. But, that won't stop people from overanalyzing the photo, and drawing all types of ridiculous conclusions from it.
The University of Colorado, which Holmes mysteriously dropped out of a couple of months ago, has refused to release Holmes's records.
