There has been a shooting just off the campus of Texas A&M in College Station. Residents were asked to stay inside, but now the shooter is in custody. Several people were shot, but there are no fatalities at this time.
Some of those who were shot in the Texas A&M shooting include two police officers. The good news is that police have the suspect in custody. Right now, the extent of the injuries of those who were shot is unclear.
A 12:30 p.m. alert issued by College Station warned that there was an active shooter near the campus football stadium, Kyle Field. Students were advised to avoid the area. It is really good that these types of alerts go out, so that students are aware of what is happening and do not walk into something like this Texas A&M shooting.
Shootings always put people on edge. This one sounds like it ended with several injuries. Thankfully nobody was killed at this point. Obviously more details will come later. Hopefully all the students at Texas A&M are fine as well.
