On August 10, something strange was flying over the South Pole. It was too early for it to have been Santa Claus, so many think that it was a UFO.
The sighting took place over the Antarctic research station, Neumayer-Station III. A video was even taken of it. The video shows a round, blurry object floating above the station. People who believe in conspiracy theories think that the US Government is aware of aliens there and are collaborating with them. There has even been talk about research of a new top-secret weapon.
Neumayer-Station III, a scientific research station, carries out tests and experiments so this flying object could actually have been a weather balloon. Balloons are used to test geophysics, meteorology, and atmospheric chemistry tests over Antarctica all the time.
Even true believers of alien visitors feel that this sighting is of a balloon but they wonder why it appears in just a few frames of the footage. The answer could be that the video is sped up and objects that do not stay still for long periods of time only appear in a few frames.
Fox News reports that this event is being discussed on various UFO boards and conspiracy theory websites. If it is a spacecraft and not a balloon others wonder why the government would release the video to the public?
When someone believes in conspiracy theories they will find proof of any alien visitation especially if something looks strange and suspicious. They are always looking for flying objects.
But are they always wrong? It's very possible that this balloon is an alien spacecraft. Just because the government hasn't released any real evidence of alien life visiting the planet doesn't mean that it doesn't exist. There have been many rumors of pilots and astronauts seeing flying objects in the skies quite often. There are also stories that the Army has had contact with alien life in Roswell, Mexico, and other areas.
The video of the round object flying over the scientific research station might be a balloon and not something from outer space but without believers keeping their heads up and searching the skies the public might not be aware of anything at all.
