Gun control is one of the latest hot topics on everyone's mind these days. On Monday, another shooter opened fire at a police officer as he was trying to deliver an eviction notice in Texas. He died along with a bystander and the shooter. This incident, along with the Colorado and Wisconsin shootings, has brought up the issue of the control of guns and the increasing sales of firearms. Americans are concerned not only with these high profile cases, but also the rise in violent break-ins and random robberies in their own cities and neighborhoods.
The fact is that people are running to their local firearms store or online store to get protection for themselves and their families. The online gun business seems to be booming these past few months. Chad Bowerman is one of those business owners that has seen his online business grow. He is the owner of RealDealGuns.com which is based in Ohio. In a recent interview done by email, he talked about how he got started in this particular business and how he is seeing a rise in gun sales.
Chad started out by explaining how he got started in the gun business, "Shooting has always been a huge hobby of mine. I was working in the Silicon Valley area and traveling the world for the past 8 years. My wife suggested that I start a blog and write reviews for products that I love since I do so much research. I did and it quickly turned into an e-commerce business. The business grew so fast that only 4 months later I had to quit my full time job to pursue growing the business." He said that customer growth and demand was so great that he made the decision to follow his passion.
When asked how the recent shootings, such as the Colorado rampage has affected his online business, he said, "We have seen more than a 25% growth. I do not know how much of that has to do with Colorado, as we have been growing 15% week over week and more than 30% month over month." Great customer service and reliable products are just a couple of the reasons that keep his customers happy and coming back to buy from him. Chad makes sure all of his products he sells are in working order as they do house testing before purchases are made.
What advice would he give to a mom who wants to buy a gun for the first time? Chad said, "Get something that is comfortable and something that you feel confident holding in your hand. Get a gun that you will be able to go to the range with monthly at the minimum to practice with."
Jesse Csincsak, who is a former winner of "The Bachelorette," is a proud gun owner and has made purchases from this online store. He is a big believer in protecting his family if the need arises. Many families are also leaning this way. Whether the reason for the increase of gun sales lies with the talk of banning or restricting the purchase of guns or just Americans worried about their safety, online businesses are reaping the benefits. While gun control remains in the news and in the political arena, people are fighting back to try to keep their right to bear arms.

But finally, you could concealed carry and maybe run into a shooting once in your life. The way things are going, he will have you outgunned.. How about body armor, got some of that? He might. Are you a good shot? There might be screaming people everywhere, please don't shoot any of them.
Just trying to say it's not easy.
It reinforces the fact that people tends to purchase firearms after these types of incidents because they are reminded that everyone is responsible for their own protection.
That's one of the main reasons firearms sales have steadily climbed since 9/11.
And Juan (the commenter)... you are completely wrong.
When is the last time you saw an ad from a firearms manufacturer? What was in that ad? My guess is a duck pond and a golden retriever or something. Hardly terrifying.
Also, there's no need for the NRA or anyone else to lie about the presidents' feelings towards firearms.
Mr. Obama (along with quite a few others) have specifically said that they don't believe in a citizens right to own a handgun, or to use a firearm in self-defense.
There's no lies needed there, you can find the actual quotes anywhere.
And just because he doesn't have the political muscle right now to implement laws that reflect his beliefs, doesn't mean that he is suddenly s Second Amendment supporter.
Oh, and neither the NRA nor the GOP gets any money from the sale of a firearm.
Although people with firearms may very well choose to support those organizations to protect their Second Amendment rights.
In short, your comment is typical gun control nonsense.
These types of beliefs have driven away any rational members of the gun control lobby, and left nothing but the radicals who spout this kind of drivel.
