Missing tot Renna Williams was found dead near her Wisconsin home, bringing a tragic end to a frantic search. This heartbreaking news comes just about a day after she was reported to have allegedly wandered from her home in Danbury. The three-year-old child was found in a canal, but it's unknown if the death was an accident or the result of foul play—though it's no secret that bodies of water and young children just don't mix.
An autopsy is planned on the body of Renna Williams, who was discovered dead approximately 25 yards from her home. There aren't many details in this case, so there isn't very much room on which to speculate. This was an absolutely adorable three-year-old child who had a promising life ahead of her, presumably. So knowing that she is dead is just heartbreaking. Investigators are not announcing whether or not they believe any foul play was evident, but she was unaccounted for anywhere from an hour to 90 minutes as far as her family has revealed.
If foul play isn't a factor in this little girl's death, what about negligence? Children do wander off all of the time; that's a given with being a parent. However, is it not too much to expect parents to at least keep their children under close watch if they have access to the outdoors? Whether the parents have any responsibility in this or not, they will now have to live with the mourning of losing this beautiful little girl—and that's something nobody should have to experience.

I have a 1 year old and if my house gets quiet for more than 5 mins I know to go looking for her (if she's not right beside me, like usual) because shes probably doing something shes not supposed to be doing.
I would never let her wonder outside though! WAY WAY WAY too dangerous.. snakes, scorpions, spiders.. anything! She's too curious to be left unattended at all.
