Heather Hodges has been missing for four months, and her family isn't giving up on the hope that she will be found. However, officials investigating her case have indicated that the 22-year-old woman became a victim of foul play. She vanished around the same time as the strange disappearance of Pfc. Kelli Bordeaux, sparking questions as to whether or not their cases may be connected. It's unlikely, however, for forensic evidence points to something other than a "random attack" in the Hodges disappearance.
Heather Hodges would have turned 23 years old on Wednesday, but with her not being around, it was a bittersweet birthday celebration for her family. Her family seems to be realistic in their expectations of this case, choosing to celebrate her birthday as all of the years they've had with her, as opposed to a present-day birthday.
Their realism must be the result of some of the latest investigative updates in the search for the missing woman. Officials believe that Hodges fell victim to foul play.
"I just want my sister found so we can have closure and I can get justice for her 'cause that's what I promised her, and I'm not going to give up. The people or person, however this happened, this eventually we're not going to give up and go away I'm not going away, I'm not going anywhere," said Crystal Hodges.
Investigators found criminal evidence last month that indicates she could have been harmed or murdered. The wording they used was that her disappearance is the result of a "violent act," so what act is this? Who are the persons of interest in this case—the boyfriend who allegedly left in the middle of the night to get her some Dairy Queen?
