A. Zombie Running for President - Update (Video)

At a campaign rally in San Diego, a new candidate has thrown his hat into the ring for President. Meet A. Zombie and his running mate Noah Pulse. According to the official press release, Zombie is a one platform campaign committed to equal viewing opportunities for all. AMC Networks fully endorse Zombie's campaign.

AMC launched its viral campaign in protest to Dish Network removing them from the line-up. Dish Network spokesman Bob Toevs said AMC, WE TV, the Sundance Channel and IFC ratings did not support the money these networks wanted.

When asked his position on several issues prominent in this election, Zombie responds with "aaaaaaaagh." Being zombies do not actually speak, Patti Morgan-Zombie, his wife and campaign spokeswoman, translates for him.

AMC's goal is to get the network back on the satellite service Dish before the new season of its highly popular show "The Walking Dead" which premieres on October 14. To increase the pressure on Dish, AMC is encouraging viewers to switch cable providers.

A. Zombie for President campaign has an official website and promises to have a campaign video up soon. According to their press release, a multi-city bus tour will have the candidate in Dallas (August 24); Tampa for the Republican Convention (August 28); Atlanta (September 1); Charlotte for the Democratic Convention (September 3 - 4) and New York City (September 5).
