Kortne Stouffer had at least one prior run-in with the law in the days leading up to her strange disappearance -- which is now a month old with absolutely no positive updates lending to a conclusion. The Palmyra "hippy" girl was reportedly present the night before her disappearance and was furnishing alcohol to minors. Two young men have also been charged with underage drinking, stemming from a party the young woman was having that included seven underage people in her apartment. It's reported that she was the only person in the home that was 21 years old. This isn't the first time she's been in trouble with similar issues. In April, she was charged with furnishing alcohol to minors as well.
This latest report of underage drinking in the home of Kortne Stouffer also involved the arrest of her boyfriend, who was in violation of his probation. It's not known who called the cops on this party, but Stouffer felt that her neighbors were responsible -- the neighbors she fought with in the early morning hours of the day of her disappearance.
Police will not reveal who called the police that night, but it's not farfetched at all to believe the neighbors did it. It's also being revealed that she fought with her neighbors prior to embarking on a night of drinking and partying with friends -- only to return home around 3:00 a.m., to fight with them some more.
As stated time-and-time-again, Stouffer apparently displayed the attitude of a spoiled brat, hellbent on throwing tantrums, partying and raising hell. Nonetheless, this doesn't excuse whoever abducted her -- if someone even did. She was immature, that is true, but this is a young woman who did not deserve to become a victim of a crime of any time. She just needed time to grow up.
What could have happened to Kortne Stouffer?
It seems that there's a possibility this whole thing is a setup. Perhaps the person who called the police on Stouffer's party knew that her boyfriend Brad would have been arrested, therefore leaving her alone in the apartment. It's been stated before by her mother that Cody Pruett stayed the night with her to keep her safe. Does this mean she was previously threatened? It's likely that a person was after her, and wanted to make sure she was alone. Calling the cops on an underage party where her boyfriend was violating his probation would be the opportune time to make sure of this. That's just a thought. The neighbor still seems suspect in this, especially considering the lack of desire to speak publicly to clear his or her name. The neighbor has lawyered up and is staying as obscure as possible.
