Twenty-four-year-old Ivy Dawn Merck is still missing, but searches for her are now targeting South Florida where her car was discovered. There is also news that police are investigating possible sightings of the missing woman, but none of them have been verified; some of them span across the country. These are most likely the result of pranksters or the general hysteria that takes hold of people when knowledge of a crime becomes an interest to them.
There is no proof of foul play as of yet, and loved ones believe the missing woman may be in Broward County, Florida. However, it's been since August 30th and Ivy Dawn Merck hasn't made contact with anybody she knows. This in and of itself indicates that the woman may not just be missing on her own. Nonetheless, it's important to have hope that she is simply voluntarily missing -- but why'd she abandon her car if this is all voluntary?
It's true that police can't rule out foul play right now because the evidence as it's known certainly doesn't point in a positive direction. Hopefully more information comes out about Ivy Merck, and her family can be reunited with the missing woman.
