Thirty-year-old Loretta Jo Gates vanished some time around August 25th, but her story is very new in the media with almost no coverage whatsoever. It seems that in the time it's taken for the media to cover this missing mom's case, officials in Canada have happened upon a human torso in a suitcase. They believe it belongs to the woman.
Could the torso that washed up in Canada belong to Loretta Jo Gates? If so, this gruesome story will be a focal point of interest for many reasons. The dismemberment of a person is an act that takes a certain level of detachment from humanity; a psychopath or truly angry person. It could be someone very close to her or a depraved killer who needs to be caught immediately.
Not much is known in the media about Loretta Gates, but if she is the victim of this horrific murder, her family deserves privacy and time to mourn in peace. This may very well become a high profile case, and they deserve all the time they can get.
