Missing teen Sierra LaMar still hasn't been found as her disappearance edges into the sixth month. Last night a vigil was held for the missing cheerleader, which attracted a special guest. Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren is pushing for a new law to pass in honor of the missing girl. It seems that "everybody's daughter," is making a very big impact on the state of California.
This law will force schools to call parents as soon as a child doesn't show up for school. Had this been implemented before Sierra LaMar vanished, she'd probably still be here -- or at least something could have been done sooner than it was.
Aside from this new push for legislation, it's important to continue searching for the missing Morgan Hill teen's remains. Without a body it will be hard to convict Antolin Garcia Torres, although not impossible. He isn't cooperating with the investigation so far and isn't giving any clues as to where her body can be found.
