Thirty-year-old Loretta Gates was confirmed as a positive match to the dismembered torso that was recently found in Canada. The missing Niagara Falls woman still hasn't 100% been accounted for with her torso being the only piece of evidence in her disappearance. It is 100% certain, however, that this is a homicide case; someone murdered this missing woman.
Loretta Gates was last seen around Main Street in Niagara Falls on the night of August 25th. It was sometime after this that she was murdered and dismembered. She was reported missing by her family on September 4th, but around the same time a female torso, packed in a suitcase, washed up in Canada via riverways. Police in Niagara claim to have also discovered a partial arm and partial leg from a place called the Whirlpool Rapids in Ontario, so here's to hoping they find the rest of her.
Who murdered this young woman, and why? Was this done by a stranger or someone she knew and trusted? More details should come out now that it's known that her case is spanning throughout the U.S. and Canada.
