One can only imagine how shocked a South Carolina woman was to find that her ex-boyfriend, recently released from jail, had taken up residence in her attic. When Tracy, who refuses to give her last name, heard a thump and saw nails coming through her bedroom ceiling one night, the mother of five sent her older son and nephew up to investigate, suspecting it was an animal. According to The Inquisitr, they discovered Tracy's former beau, whom she had broken up with more than a decade ago, in the attic. Perhaps the most surprising thing is that he had managed to stay in the house, undetected, for about two weeks.
It gets creepier. As reported by CBS Charlotte, Tracy's nephew said that the man was able to look through an air vent in the ceiling of Tracy's bedroom. Another disturbing tidbit in the story is that, along with this unwelcome houseguest, large plastic cups containing human waste were also found.
The mystery of how the man got in and out of the attic, given the fact that the only access to the house is through the lower level, remains a mystery.
Tracy said that the last time she saw him was about a year ago when he helped her install some doors in her house. Although no correlation has yet been made between the part he played in helping Tracy to install the doors and his recent ability to gain access to the house, it may not be a good idea, generally speaking, to accept help from ex-boyfriends who have been involved in criminal activity.
