Some people really love iPhones. Video of two crooks crashing through the drop-down gate of an Apple Store in California has been released on YouTube, and it shows the incredible lengths some people will go to to get their hands on an iPad.
The two minute video shows two crooks crashing the gate of the Temecula, California, retail outlet last week. The BMW makes it through the gate and window on the first pass. But getting out of the store was an entirely different matter.
As the passenger scoots around the display stations near the front of the store, scooping up iPods and iPhones (but leaving the more expensive Macs behind) the driver throws the car into reverse for an exit.
It turns out, whoever designed those drop-down gates was more brilliant than most Apple "geniuses." It takes several attempts, including blasting through the Mac display stations, before the robber finally breaks out again in a screeching reverse.
It looks like the car's front tires go flat, and at one point it seems the license plate falls off.
Oops! Wonder what the return policy on that one is?
