Alan Roberts, whose previous film work includes The Happy Hooker Goes Hollywood, was one of the driving forces behind Innocence of Muslims, which allegedly sparked protests across the Middle East.
Innocence of Muslims production featured quite a group of interesting characters. Of course, there's Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, also known as Sam Bacile, who is now being questioned by authorities. There is also an entire acting cast who didn't know the theme or theme of the movie they were performing in. And now it comes to light, that the director's resume includes a litany of softcore porno flicks.
In addition to some legitimate movies, Alan Roberts' oeuvre features highly erotic works such as Young Lady Chatterly and The Happy Hooker Goes Hollywood.
Besides its offensiveness, Innocence of Muslims, is just an awfully written and acted movie production, so it's no shock it was made by a porn director. The dialogue is as hackneyed and awkward as the cheesiest sex film imaginable.
There are so many unanswered questions about this production? How did a softcore filmmaker come into contact with the shadowy Nakoula, AKA "Sam Bacile?" Did Alan Roberts understand the religious and political implications of the film? And, will he receive the same government scrutiny as Nakoula?
