Seventeen-year-old Amber Viado, 17, vanished sometime after 9:00 p.m., on September 16th from the San Jose area. There aren't many details in this case, but it's oddly similar to the disappearance of Sierra LaMar, who vanished from Morgan Hill—not that far from San Jose. Hopefully this disappearance isn't of the same caliber of the Sierra LaMar case, but with so many days passed it's hard to be optimistic.

Amber Viado is described as Asian, five-feet-tall and about 102 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes—however, she wears blue-gray contacts and keeps glasses with her. She's in possession of both.
Hopefully this is just a case of a teenage girl taking off voluntarily. She could be kicking it somewhere safe, unaware that she's attracting media attention. On the other hand, she could have been abducted. Anything is possible; that's why it's important to locate this missing teen as soon as possible. Until she's located, she should be searched for with urgency.
