Would the average person know what to do if suddenly approached by an alien from a UFO? Probably not. Because of that the world has a lot to learn from Travis Walton.
In 1975, Travis was working as a logger in Arizona. On his way home with some friends they came across an unidentified flying object. Their first mistake was that they stopped the car as opposed to hightailing it out of there. Travis then made the biggest mistake of all by getting out of the car thus allowing the flying object to beam him up into the craft. His friends then left the scene, fast!
But what about Walton? Well, he was gone. Abducted by the aliens.
Five days later Travis found himself lying on the side of the road. He did remember that he was on the alien craft being studied by creatures not from this Earth. What Walton went through was turned into the movie, Fire in the Sky.
Who better than Travis Walton to tell people the ten best things to do if suddenly confronted by an alien? According to Lower South Hampton, here is what he suggests:
Remain calm, but protect yourself from any hazards real or perceived. Be objective, not every unidentified flying object is extraterrestrial. Use a camcorder or camera to record the event. If you have a tape recorder, record your description of the event as it happens; if other witnesses are present ask them to also write or record their observations; if the object left some trace of its presence behind, do not disturb the area around it; if the sighting is from a distance, at an arms length, what would it take to cover up the object?—a quarter? a penny? Try to judge the distance from you to the object, the object's altitude, and its speed. Should you encounter some type extraterrestrial being associated with the craft be prepared to take evasive action to protect yourself. Immediately report the event to an unidentified flying object research organization.
Travis certainly knows better than most people about dealing with aliens but maybe the best thing to do is to leave the area as fast as possible.
Hopefully people won't need to use any of these suggestions but if a UFO is spotted be sure to commit the list to memory or at least print a copy of it and carry it around at all times.
Keep those eyes to the skies because something could be flying above.
