Kara Alongi remains missing but police "are certain" that that 16-year-old girl was not kidnapped and left on her own free will. This means that the tweet she sent to her followers about someone in her house was a hoax. She faked the whole thing. This is at least a happy thought to consider; at least she presumably wasn't the victim of a violent home invasion. However, she is still missing so it's important that she be found so her safety is made 100% clear and known.
Investigators also discovered that someone had called a local taxi company to pick up someone matching Kara's description at the missing girl's address. Gee, you think this is a coincidence? A cab driver told detectives that he dropped off the girl at a train station.
So it looks like 16-year-old Kara Alongi did in fact run away from home and faked her abduction. She was sloppy in faking such a thing, since there were no signs of any home intrusion, and she was brazen enough to call a cab to deliver her to a rail station from her home. Teens seldom think things through when running off or acting on impulse.
So where is this missing teen? Hopefully she's safe and just having some time to herself, but if she has any good sense about her she needs to return home now that her story is a worldwide trending topic. Surely her parents are quite embarrassed by this stunt of hers.
