Usually when the public hears about a UFO flying around it's usually above the US, Mexico, Russia, and recently over Greece but a hot bed for unidentified flying object activity is Vancouver Island, Canada.
According to PQB News Brian Vike, an unidentified flying object researcher based in Houston, British Columbia says, "There were a lot of sighting reports from Vancouver Island. I don't think it would take a lot more reports to have that area in the top 10 at year's end."
Over 1,000 sightings were reported last year in all of Canada but just this year Vike himself has posted 799 sightings. His mail in-box has over 200 more reports sitting in it. All these reports came into his box in just one month.
"That is phenomenal. The most I've ever got was 400 for a whole year," he said. "This is a huge, huge spike."
A recent flying object sighting came from Nanoose Bay which is a community of about 5,000 people in the Canadian province of British Columbia.
The report states that the craft looked like a strange, brightly lit object near the Schooner Cove Marina.
The witness was standing on his upper deck in the dark at about 9:45 p.m. on Aug. 18. Suddenly an extremely large, low-flying object appeared just over the tree line from the west. It slowly moved eastward. The object was square in shape with brilliant bright white, red, green, and blue lights underneath. There were white strobing lights running from the middle to the back-end which clearly outlined its square shape. This was definitely not an airplane.
It moved silently as it disappeared behind some trees. When the witness went down the road, expecting to see it, the craft was gone.
Vike hears from many people who have seen flying objects. He doesn't release the names of those seeking his help but has heard some interesting stories.
There have been a huge amount of flying craft sightings and it isn't clear why the numbers have increased but something just might be in the makings.
Sightings have been going on since cavemen when they drew pictures on walls of beings with helmets on their heads and of space crafts. How would cavemen know about such things? It's also been speculated that it was aliens from another planet that first showed prehistoric man how to use fire and how to make tools out of rocks. Are these aliens in fact our own ancestors?
Perhaps one day Brian Vike will be able to answer some of the growing questions and concerns about UFOs.
Keep those eyes to the skies because something could be flying above.
