The Daily Show's Jon Stewart attempted and failed to help President Obama's Libya cover-up, or his sagging poll numbers with another appearance on the show. But yet another guest-spot on one of Comedy Central's most popular shows will not give the failed president political cover for his international mistakes nor what he wants the most, another four years to "change" the greatest nation on Earth into a European-style socialist society. Unfortunately for Obama, the young voters of America have returned to their parents' basements and developed a cynical aversion to politics and its accompanying plethora of failed promises.
President Obama's first term in office has been a disaster of magnificent proportions, and all the softball question put forward by boot-licking sycophants like Stewart cannot cover up that fact. Even Stewart's meticulously worded question about the terrorist attack in Libya which killed four Americans, including an ambassador, failed in its attempt to aid the President. Obama's response, that the attack was "not optimal," not only displayed the President's ignorance of national security, but failed to adequately divert attention away from the fact that he is personally responsible for the failure to provide enough security.
President Obama's use of the term "optimal" was simply an attempt to seem as though he is fully cognizant of the national security situation. The President sounded like someone who, when they have no idea what they are talking about, simply resort to using technical terms in the hope that they can bluff their way through the conversation. And it worked, at least for the intellectually challenged Stewart and his equally ignorant audience. Being in the presence of what they consider to be someone greater than themselves, Stewart and his audience were too star struck to understand the nonsense that spewed forth from the President's mouth.
Stewart, and his carefully chosen studio audience, may have fawned over the president, but even with the cheers and applause of a cherry-picked audience, the president will lose in November. Much like every policy he has implemented, Obama has failed to get the expected bump in the polls after what many liberals viewed as his triumphant victory in the most recent debate. However, unlike those who put their hopes and dreams into a fallible human being, the majority of Americans did not see the return of the messiah, only a failed president making excuses for himself and attacking his opponent at every opportunity.
With the price of gasoline, groceries, and everything else reaching into the pocketbooks of ordinary Americans and robbing them of their future, Jon Stewart can have the President on his show everyday and it won't make a bit of difference. The American people have had enough of this president and his incompetent gang of stooges who currently occupy the White House. They have had enough of the misstatements, incongruent accounts, carefully constructed employment numbers, stonewalling, scandals, and outright lies. Americans want to be able to trust their government again, not fear it, and Mitt Romney's victory in November will return the nation to honor and greatness.
