The murder of Heather Carroll is still fresh on the minds of the Hollister community, but nobody is more affected by the tragedy than her husband and close loved ones. Recently the family burned missing posters as a means to gain more closure in the case of the missing/slain woman, but the woman's husband made some interesting charges against officials.
Grady Carroll says that police could've prevented his wife's murder.
"We told them we knew what happened and no one listened," he said.
He's talking about the connection between her disappearance and so-called family friend David Quiroz. From the beginning of her strange disappearance, he claimed to know that he had something to do with it, and says that Quiroz behaved strangely around the time.
Hollister police, however, stand by the investigation and their work involved with it. The body of Heather Carroll was found inside the home of David Quiroz after a long standoff involving SWAT agents. By the time police were able to even get to the woman it was evident that she was dead. She had been beaten and strangled to death.
