Stella Boonshoft made herself into a worldwide phenomenon overnight after she posted a photo of herself in a bikini on her blog.
So why is this such a big deal, you ask? Well, it's a big deal because Stella is not stick thin and doesn't have six-pack abs or a slim tummy.
Stella is without a doubt a woman with curves and as a result of her photo, everyone is buzzing as to whether it is acceptable to wear a bikini when you're not a six 6 waif.
Stella boldly captioned her photo with these words:
"My body must be a revolution," she said. "Picture might be considered obscene because subject is not thin. And we all know that only skinny people can show their stomachs and celebrate themselves. I am not going to stand for that. This is my body, not yours. MINE."

It's wonderful to see a real woman sticking up for those out there who deal with being bullied or belittled because of their weight. Magazines, TV shows and Hollywood in general has made it seem almost unacceptable to wear a bikini or tight clothing if a woman is larger than a sample size. Stella Boonshoft is blowing this theory right out of the water.
Now a global phenomenon, Stella will no doubt receive offers for book deals and magazine features which will only enhance her theory that women who look like her can be beautiful and successful too.
You don't have to be a size six socialite to be happy you know!
