For some odd reason, the police in Kennebunkport, ME are revealing Alexis Wright's alleged prostitution clients in stages. On Friday, a new batch of "johns" was released to the public, and it will surely stir as much controversy as the first.
Hopefully, there won't be any cases of mistaken identity this time around. When the first 21 suspects were published last week, it created much confusion, because other men in the community possess the same names as the fellows on the list. That would obviously cause a bit of trouble with family members, if they believe you're soliciting prostitutes.
This case has been mishandled from the start. The clients' names should be released in one fell swoop. That way, there would be a huge hoopla, but then it would quickly die down, and people could return to their lives. By protracting this investigation, however, the cops are only serving to keep the Alexis Wright story in the news.
Among the men on the first list were a former mayor, several businessmen, and a well-known hockey coach. Names from Friday include Frank Parker of Freeport, Kris Kamys of Hiram, and Steven Houghton, 43. You can view the full roster here.
Wright and business partner Mark Strong are accused of running a prostitution ring from her Zumba studio in Kennebunkport.
