Disturbing details in the Katrina Smith investigation indicate that the missing woman may have injured herself—or worse. It's been revealed that bloody paper towels were located by police in the vicinity of the missing woman's abandoned car. They are currently being tested to determine whether or not the blood belongs to the missing Illinois woman. Considering the fact that it's been nearly a week since the woman was last seen, these details and the evidence thus far is highly suspicious.

Is it possible that Katrina Smith met foul play? As stated in this earlier Gather News article, the discovery of her cellphone, purse and abandoned vehicle are already negative elements. These details indicate that the woman certainly isn't existing as herself if she is alive. The possibility of a woman voluntarily disappearing like this is slim, and the discovery of bloody paper towels doesn't help the theory at all.
Whatever it was that happened, hopefully some answers are had soon. It must be hard for loved ones to be going through this right now without any answers, and everywhere they turn the news is negative.
Searches are continuing for Katrina, and the areas the officials are looking at indicate that even they aren't confident that she will be found alive. Most currently bodies of water are being searched.
