Hurricane Sandy is causing a lot of headaches for millions on the east coast, but more so for those who like their triple shot espresso with caramel sauce from Starbucks.
Before the NYC transit shut down all of its subway and buses, Starbucks decided to close all of its stores in NYC and Long Island in order to ensure their employees got home safely. Sadly, for all you coffee lovers, the locations will also be closed on Monday and probably longer depending on how long Sandy lingers and how much damage she leaves behind.

The city that never sleeps is once again going to take a long nap. It happened with Hurricane Irene and is now going to happen with Hurricane Sandy.
Are you shocked that Starbucks took such a step as to close their stores early? Do you think the storm will stand up to all the hype, or will Mayor Bloomberg have shuttered NYC down once again for nothing but some rain and wind?
