A toddler was found in a cage in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The high dad was arrested when police arrived and found a nude 4-year-old and another 3-year-old unattended while he slept one off.
On Sunday afternoon, police in Tulsa arrested William Todd Lewallen, 47, after a neighbor called alerting them that a child was outside naked and crying for 20 minutes. When they arrived, police found an 18-month-old toddler locked in a cage covered in feces. They also found a 3-year-old sleeping in the house along with a nude 4-year-old girl outside. Lewallen was high on Oxycontin and drunk on beer, and he was sleeping while the children roamed.
The children are now in the custody of the Oklahoma Department of Human Services. The dad is in jail while he awaits his court date. Thankfully, none of the children had visible physical injuries, but they still were obviously in a bad situation.
Thank goodness a neighbor alerted police to this situation. There is no telling what could have happened to these children if police had not come and rescued them from the poor conditions. Thinking of the toddler in a cage covered in feces is just heartbreaking.
