Jessica Linscott Update: Roland Dow's Uncle Speaks Out

His uncle is an idiot...so what he's saying is Roland didn't abuse young James, his girlfriend did..well if he didn't he wouldn't be running, and he's just as guilty as if he did it for letting Jessica do it...scumbag.

scumbag. You dont know me and if you did you would feel like the trash you are for saying such things. Roland is a train conductor. He gets tested regularly for drugs. Has no criminal record. Comes from a well respected family. 2 Congressional Medal of Honor recipients. He has a daughter he never hit and is very overly protective of. His girlfriend on the other hand was found guilty of neglect of her child in the past and sent to anger management under court order. Her sons father was a drug addict who killed himself. Roland lived at the plaistow residents since he was 5 years old. It is his families home not hers. The press called him a live in boyfriend. The grandmother goes on the news and says she warned Jessica he was dangerous for her son. It seems strange then he is charged with feloney assault and not the mother. No one knows what happened. The 3 year old has suffered brain damage and with pthe grand parents already convicting roland in the press im sure theyve told their grandson the same thing. I think they both look bad running. I also think Roland as a train conductor should tell you he is a very level headed person. I can only speculate but he is more likely to have come home from work and found the boy injured and took him to the hospital. It saved the boys life. The only rational thing done by either of them thus far. I think a public outcry for them to turn themselves in would go further than threatening them with all kinds of violence. The law will deal with them. I wonder who taught you to be so compasionate. Violence for violence is still violence. I dont blame you for being heated i am heated myself at whoever is responsible for hurting a little boy but i know as much as you and we live in a country that gives people a fair hearing before judgement. Atleast that is what i fought for in Iraq. I ask them both to turn themselves in and do it now.

I'm trying to remain neutral on this, but I am going to have to say that Andy knows his family better than any of us readers of what the media is releasing. I saw we reserve judgement (at least harsh judgement) until they are arrested.

chelsea, i thank you for your support. I do want to say i am not saying he isnt guilty but it doesnt fit the kid i know. Also the grandmothers accusations are what the charges are based upon. I have talked with other family members. The grandmother is the fathers mom. The father who was a heroin addict and killed himself. The grandmother whom they are basing their claims on is refused form having direct unsupervised contact with the boy and dcyf is investigaing her and retains full custody of James and not his family, seems suspect doesnt it?. Also from what i was told the grandmother was watching james during the day. Maybe there is more to this than what is being told maybe not but i think when the truth is finally known then we all can say for sure what is happening. I called a radio station 96.7 fm and gave a inteview the other day. Because of fools threatening my daughter on facebook. I called not to claim innocence of my nephew but to say lets give the system a chance to find out the truth before we hang, torture or murder someone, the comments being made. I called mainly as a result of the different arrest photos. Has everyone making comments looked at all of them that were released? I saw one of the mother all ready for her glamour shot. No bags under her eyes and looking like teen mom with a smirk. Roland looked like hell and i dont think he was enjoying the parade so much. He looked like hell. I think they both are guilty for some things, running for sure but the pictures are worth a thousand words. The mother is unlimately the one with the responsibility for her son. She is the one to protect him from harm. The pictures of her in Florida look like she was there for fun and with not even a single look of anguish on her face when caught. I think she should have looked somewhat equal if not worse than rolands appearance. It makes me wonder how could her child be so bad and she look so good? It would take someone with a mental breakdown or a monster of a personality to do that to a child. Like i said look at the pictures they say volumes. I agree with the majority of the public running makes you look guilty, or stupid, or just scared to death. Either way we should find out what the truth is and justic will be served. Either way my families thoughts and prayers are for james . We will support our nephew as a family should, but we would never agree with a child being hurt. There are actons that have no excuse and hurting any child is inexcusable.

FYI Andy,
1. Were you aware Roland was fired from his job months ago? If not, you must not be as close as you say.
2. Any responsible, mature, law-abiding, guiltless person would not allow abuse of a child to continue, would not condone such actions, and would not drop an abused child off and then run away with said abuser - especially if he has a child of his own and so can understand completely the horrific nature of the crime.
If he were "level headed" as you say, at the first indication of abuse, he would have turned her a@# in, and at the hospital he would have stayed with the poor child. If she's the only abuser (and I hope you get from this that I truly think they are both at fault, I am not buying your whole "he's an innocent in all of this b.s.) one wonders if he let her near his daughter, and how being a father he could allow all of this to go on. If he's innocent, if he's guiltless, why run, why aide her in doing so, why bail on a helpless child? Smells of guilt to me! The Congressional Medal of Honor recipients in your family (note the word HONOR) must be so very proud of Roland. NOT!!! He's shown nothing but cowardice and dishonor!

my family is not in question here. My family is a very distinguished family and no my family could not be proud for him running. I am as in the dark as you are but i know one thing to level charges based on the grandmother without ever talking to either of the two is not how the system works. He is accountable for himself. I think you need to hear all the facts not just what the police are selling. They rushed to judgement before ever talking to either of them. Seem convicted before all evidence is is is not what justic is all about. It is simple they ran and look guilty. I agree with most of the general public, i just hope we are not a mob mentality society that strings up citizens before all evidence is in. I think the story will come out and we will all find closure. My hope is James is fine and makes a full recovery and i do appreciate everyones support of him. Just remember everything that is written he will read some day. Also i want to say i appreciate your comments and concern for the welfare of James as we all are in my family.
