The disappearance of Dylan Redwine remains unsolved, but officials have taken a turn that differs from earlier comments by searching the father's home. Earlier police acknowledged that Mark Redwine is not a suspect in his son's disappearance, but here it is a few hours later and his home is being canvassed by officials. Do you think they'll find anything of evidence?
This latest update comes just after police concluded that the teen didn't runaway from home on his own. There are suspicions that Dylan was abducted, which would make it hard to speculate whether or not he is alive. Cadaver dogs reacted to his scent at a nearby lake, and that also doesn't help in raising spirits with this case.
"The Sheriff's Office is not calling Mark Redwine a suspect. However, since that house was the last place Dylan was seen, it is only prudent to do a more thorough search of that house and property for any information that can help direct us to Dylan," said Dan Bender of the La Plata County Sheriff's Office.
Hopefully federal investigators can get to the bottom of this disappearance, because Dylan Redwine has been missing for going on two weeks with not many clues leading to any conclusion in the case.
