The convicted murderer with neo-nazi tattoos all over his face wants people to know that his tattoos don't make him into a monster. Curtis Allgier's tattoos came to national attention after he killed a prison guard at the University of Utah medical clinic. His chains had been removed for an MRI and Allgier then grabbed prison guard Stephen Anderson's gun and shot him with it, killing him. At the sentencing Allgier, 33, said, "I apologize from the bottom of my heart. I didn't want to hurt anybody. It was an accident."
That apology of course is no comfort to those left behind by the 60-year-old Anderson, who had a wife, five adult children and 18 grandchildren. He had worked for the Utah Department of Corrections for 22 years. Allgier told the court "Just because I've got tattoos on my face and I'm proud of my race, I'm not some violent monster." No, but the fact that you murdered a 60-year-old grandfather does.

n a high speed chase after shooting Anderson, and the chase finally ended at a fast food restaurant. A customer, Eric Fullerton, attempted to take away the gun from Allgier, and was slashed in the throat by Allgier, but he survived. Allgier surrendered to police shortly afterward.
Curtis Allgier's tattoos are neo-nazi symbols and are almost as scary as his convictions, which now include disarming a peace officer, aggravated escape, aggravated robbery and possession of a firearm by a restricted person. The original charge that he had been serving prison time for was possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He is now serving life in prison, having escaped the death penalty with a plea deal.
Both Eric Fullerton, an Army veteran and Stephen Anderson are heroes in this incident, and it's good to get someone like this off the streets, even though it is terrible that someone had to die to make it happen. Curtis Algier was a confirmed White Supremacist.

What a bunch of crap. That's the most ridiculous statement I have ever seen on Gather. Tattoos indicate nothing more than someone wanted a tattoo. They don't indicate anything about drug use, alcohol use, psychiatric problems or sexual preferences or fetishes. Quit spreading your pompous, religious drivel. People like you (read hypocritical Christians) should take your own advice and "Judge not lest ye be judged." I have no tattoos but I respect people's right to decorate their bodies anyway they choose.
