The body of a naked woman was located in Newark's West Ward on Sunday morning and police are describing this as a grisly murder. The identity of the victim is either not yet known or is not yet being released, and the details on this developing story are still too slim for speculation.
The body was found on a stoop around the New Community Gardens apartment complex. Officers were seen with white sheets, cordoning the area to shield from witnesses.
"There's a lady behind there. She's naked and she was stabbed in her chest. And the lady who lived there came out and found her," said a neighbor.
It's been several hours since this initial report, and there have been no new updates in the case -- no identification details or clarifications on whether or not there is a suspect.
