In some towns, football is life. Steubenville, Ohio, is one of those towns. Everyone's buddy "Anonymous" is at it again, this time with the help of "hacktavist group" Knight Sec, releasing a video made on August 22, 2012, featuring students of Steubenville High School, joking about the rape of an area teenage girl on that same night.
Apparently, the girl, who was underage, was transported from a neighboring town, only to be assaulted and photographed by the teenage athletes at several parties while other teens watched and did nothing. While the act, in general, was brutal, tragic, and disgusting, the video, joking about the incident, is equally horrible. The main character can't seem to stop laughing, as he refers to the unconscious girl as "deader than OJ's wife" and "deader than Caylee Anthony," as well as several others. Clearly, he finds himself quite comical, continuing with the "she's deader than" jokes and other little quips. A voice of reason in the background reminds the funny guy that this girl was raped, leading to more jokes. The names of two of the athletes who were involved in the assault, Trent Mays and Ma'lik Richmond, were mentioned and the two have been charged with rape and kidnapping.
It is believed that law enforcement and school officials tried to cover this incident up, as it would not look good for their football environment. A website, www.stopbigred.com, has been created by Knight Sec, detailing some of the facts about the cover-up, even naming a football team booster as a possible ringleader in this heinous attack and pointing out the possibility of child porn. The spokesman for the group said, "On this fateful night a life was changed forever as a group of the football players of Big Red High School, dubbed themselves 'rape crew' and began taking advantage of an underage girl. The girl was sexually assaulted, molested, raped, and drug unconscious from party to party. This is a warning shot to the school faculty, the parents of those involved, and those involved especially. A preliminary dox is being released on some of those involved... You can hide no longer, you have attracted the attention of the hive. We will not sit idly by and watch a group of young men who turn to rape as a game or sport get the pass because of athletic ability and small town luck. You now have the world looking directly at you."
Does this video really represent the American teenager? Are they all so heartless and stupid? There is always concern about whether or not a parent is raising their child right. Will they be a decent person? Will they make the right decisions? Those are questions that flood the mind of every parent, with every decision they make regarding their kids. The parents of the boys in this clip should be so proud. As for the jokester in the video, his true colors are really showing through. He may not have been directly involved in the assault, but he sucks just as much as the boys who were. No matter what he does later in life, he will always be that ass***e. Way to go, Knight Sec! Keep fighting the good fight.

Their right to privacy ended the second they allowed themselves to be taped , knowing darn well some idiot would post it on youtube.
When sports become more important than a drugged, kidnapped and raped, it's time to shut down the sports program....FOR GOOD.
The police just issued a statement Saturday I believe, that no additional arrests would be made?

As for the right to privacy, I'm not even sure if there should be a debate. Those boys knew exactly what they were doing, & were well aware it was being taped. They violated their own right to privacy when they chose to animalize that poor girl. I can imagine their going to prison won't stop the cruelty & jokes she'll have to deal with for years to come. There aren't even words...
I hadn't heard that much about the cover up. I can't say I'm surprised. Someone taught those kids they have the right to act like entitled little creeps. If not a coverup, I'm sure they would have found a way to influence the outcome with money. An eye for an eye should apply in this case--subject them to every vile, heinous, thing they did to that girl--not because it would have any effect on them other than to give them a reason to say their being unfairly persecuted--but because it would serve justice far better than a jail sentence. I hate to say there's no hope for them, but I don't see any kid with a lack of conscience to that degree learning anything about common decency later in life, ever.
I also understand the "Big Red" community in further displays of igtnorant obnoxious loya;ty to a high school football team, are clamoring that the girl is at fault - her attire, drinking, being there at all - a other stupid things all to protect tier "boys".
I grew up very close to there and know all about Big Red - they have always been teams full of glorified anilmals.
And the police, and judges in that area are very close knit.
This is a town once known as "Little Chicago" - ad it deserved the title - Dean Martin sent money to a PF (Personal Friend) for decades. There are more "Made Men" in that town as there are in any city of its size and certainly more than any town in Ohio.

No one has a personal vendetta against you; we just do not like socialists.
This post is about an innocent girl who was raped. It is not about you, and it is not about Republicans, and it is not about abortion rights. How sad you still do not see that, and that this innocent girl is not worthy of your full attention.
These guys should be locked away from normal society for the rest of their lives. There is no better example of anti-social behavior than to take another human against her will and to use her for pleasure. Then on top of that hideous behavior and action, they actually see it as nothing more than a prank for their friends.
This is certainly not typical behavior for our young people in this nation, or anyone for that matter. There is a subgroup within our society that has no moral values, and we, as a nation (collectively) seem to no longer honor the value of moral direction. Religious values are dismissed to avoid hurting the feelings of those that do not share those religious beliefs, so both the religion and the values that are a foundation of that religion are presented as being intrusive. And we wonder why so many have no morals.
The right to privacy does not exist in this situation, nor does any other defense exist that favors the scum who would exhibit this individual act of terrorism on another human being. Those who were a part of this horrible injustice should never experience freedom from beyond those steel bars for as long as they can produce breath. May God bless that girl.

Vic - that is the amazing thing to me - this happened FIVE months ago, and no one has heard about it.
This town was known as Litlle Chicago for decades - the entire local government and judicial system 100% CORRUPT.
I grew up 30 miles from there - it is a cesspool of old-time mobster attitude.
And "Big Red" is regarded as a god.
Imagine, a town of 18,000 people, where a stadium for 10,000 is filled every single Friday night that has a High School football game..........
The hacker group 'Anonymous' targeted this video BECAUSE it was being suppressed by those charged by the public with the duty of protecting us.
athletes have always been given free reign, to beat, molest, steal, cheat, in many many many schools.
I'm glad that Anonymous got this out, but I am also very concerned with the level of power the 'group' has obtained. I want these monsters prosecuted badly, anyone who even thinks like that...sadly way more people than you can imagine, especially younger people...I want them off the street. But do we want them murdered by various gangs of thugs who've decided they're judge and jury? I don't. It's such a double-edged sword because of the obvious cover-up and our legal system sucks bad. I don't know, just rambling. The new power of anon scares me.
Rape is not about sex it is about power. Power over an individual. We need to look to the moral breakdown in our country. The fact that these boys and those onlookers were desensitized raises some big questions . These questions need to be addressed.
Unfortunately, we live in a DISHONEST and IMMORAL culture. This travesty is just one more proof of that statement.
Until we solve this culture problem, travesties like this will only increase in number.
As for anyone present that failed to do anything to stop this, all of them should be punished. And those punishments should be SWIFT (NOT 5 years from now) and should be PUBLICLY published in the mainstream media (lots of luck with those bleeding hearts) for an example to other potential perps to contemplate.
