Las Vegas child Jade Morris was reportedly stabbed over 40 times, and her mother says that she was horribly disfigured during her murder. This is a horrific update in the case of the slain child that's being reported at the time of her funeral viewing. While her loved ones are saying their final farewells, the reality of what happened to her is still heavy on the minds of Las Vegas residents, including those entrusted to bring the girl's murderer to justice.

The woman accused of stabbing the child over 40 times reportedly has an assault charge ranging back to the early 1990s. While the single charge on her record isn't alarming, it's the nature of the assault that causes alarm. She was accused of attacking a man with a razor blade in Mississippi in 1994. The charge was dropped in 1995, however, because the alleged victim never testified against her.
This past assault charge isn't surprising when you think about the razor attack she allegedly committed at the Bellagio after Jade is believed to had been killed. Hopefully this trial is a swift one and justice is served in a deserving manner. Is the death penalty on the table?
