The reward offered in the Dylan Redwine case has increased to over $30,000. In fact, since this post it's increased by nearly an additional $500.00. This is a fine display of community compassion, and at least $10,000.00 of the amount is thanks to one generous donor who is anonymous. In addition, the sales of bracelets and ribbons, as well as assorted donations and fundraisers, helped in increasing the reward.
However, Dylan remains missing and has been gone now for close to two months while his mother desperately seeks answers. Even though such a lengthy amount of time has passed, Elaine Redwine has hope that Dylan will be found safe.
Nonetheless, earlier reports in this case indicate that cadaver dogs picked up the boy's scent near a body of water that was searched with no success. With it also being long past that vital window of 72 hours, it's hard to feel that a positive outcome is in the cards with this case.
Dylan Redwine vanished after last being seen publicly on November 18, 2012. His father reported him missing on the following afternoon, insisting that the boy vanished while he was out running errands. Elaine Redwine has been publicly critical of the young man's father -- directly accusing him of being responsible for Dylan's disappearance. Hopefully her feelings aren't true and this man didn't harm his son. And hopefully investigators release some kind of update soon so the public knows that this is still being actively investigated.
