Missing tot Leah Marie Aguirre was located deceased behind a home at 502 South Ayrshire in Crosbyton, Texas this afternoon. This brings an end to the search that sparked a nationwide alert for the missing child. Sadly, there have been no arrests yet nor have there been any suspects named. But it's well known that the child's mother is the focus of a CPS investigation stemming from allegations that she was trying to sell the child.
The caregiver of the once-missing tot told officials that a man named Miguel entered her home posed as a CPS worker and kidnapped the baby, though officials have not said whether or not they believe these claims. In fact, it almost seems as though she took a page out of the Casey Anthony playbook. The details surrounding this tragic case are a blur of confusion, though, because of the lack of details being released by officials.
Was Leah Marie Aguirre murdered or was her death the result of a tragic accident? Did her babysitter do something to her and then lie about the abduction? Hopefully more information is released, but it's even more hopeful that this child gets justice for what happened to her.
