Missing Utah teen Brooklyn Gittins has been located safe, bringing an end to the 40+ hour search for the 13-year-old girl. It seems as though social networking and high profile news coverage led to the amped-up search for the girl—and it's fortunate her case ended this way, unlike the many other tragic stories.

There aren't many details behind this latest update, but it's fortunate that she was found safely. This revelation compliments the theory that the 13-year-old girl might have voluntarily ran away from home in the middle of the night while her parents slept. With there not being any signs of a break in or any other evidence of foul play, it was really one of the only other options aside from a cover up of foul play.
Here's to hoping more details come out soon, because there is also the possibility that this girl was the victim of a crime. It doesn't seem likely with there being a lack of coverage, but it's still possible.
