'Blade Runner' Oscar Pistorius May Have Shot...

"Blade Runner" AKA Oscar Pistorius, may have shot his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp over her past relationship with Rugby player Francois Hougaard. The 24-year-old was a friend of Pistorius and it seems that he may have thought his girlfriend was cheating with Hougaard.

New details are constantly coming out about the incident, with neighbors saying there was fighting coming from inside the house before Steenkamp was shot. There are also reports that police were called before for reports of domestic violence.

It's possible that the thought of his girlfriend cheating with his friend caused Pistorius to go over the edge and kill her, though police have not speculated on that aspect yet and it's not

clear if they will or not.

It would be very sad if the Parlympian nicknamed "Blade Runner" ended up losing his cool and killing Reeva Steenkamp over an assumption that she was cheating, but it wouldn't be the first time in history that a couple has fought over one or the other cheating.

They were bickering over who had the more ridiculous name, and it got completely out of hand.

Could it be a situation that Pistorius despite all his accomplishments felt envious of Reeva's former boyfriend because like him he had national adulation, a strong following, his youth, his looks, his sporting accomplishments but unlike him Hougaard still had his legs and worse from Pistorius's point of view Reeva's benediction and virility that he himself questioned as he turned to guns as an external symbol of propping up his own ego and of course masculinity. Perhaps being a sporting hero can be more vexing and an insecure vocation that Pistorius could possibly handle given his own physical limitations....?
