New Jersey Powerball Winners Strike It Rich!
Congratulations to the latest New Jersey lottery winners! New Jersey Lottery's Executive Director Carole Hedinger announced one (1) $1,000,000 Powerball winning ticket, and two (1) $10,000 tickets were sold in New Jersey for the March 6 drawing. The $1,000,000 ticket was sold at Essex County at Mahavir, Inc., 16-26 No. Day St., in Orange. The winner matched five out of six white Powerball winning numbers, but not the red Powerball number for the second-tier prize. Had the winner spent an extra dollar on the Power Play option, he or she would have had their prize winnings doubled to $2,000,000.
Two (2) other big Powerball prizes were won Wednesday night. One (1) winning ticket for $10,000 was purchased at the Lodi Mini Mart & Liquor, 124 So. Main St., in Lodi, and one (1) $10,000 ticket was bought at the Cottage Deli & Grocery, 600 No. Whitehorse Pike, in Somerdale, New Jersey. Neither New Jersey Powerball winner purchased Power Play tickets which would have automatically increased their prizes to $40,000. Oh well, better luck next time!
Hedinger said, "For selling the $1,000,000 and the $10,000 winning tickets, the retailers have become three more of the Lottery's 'lucky locations' overnight."
