Did you ever have a song running around in your mind and it wouldn't go away? How about having a roommate constantly playing a song by the band the Eagles and refusing to stop playing it?
On September 16, Vernett Bader of North Charleston, South Carolina couldn't get her roommate to stop playing a song of his favorite band. Over and over he played it, never stopping and Vernett just couldn't stand listening to it anymore.
According to WCBS.com, she tried to be nice and asked him to stop and what did he do? He told her to shut up and continued playing his music. That's no way to speak to a lady, so she went into the kitchen, picked up a serrated knife, and stabbed her music loving roommate. Hey, what's a girl to do?
The police reported that when the roommate, with the help of his brother, grabbed the knife away from Vernett, she headed to the kitchen and got another one. She was a woman on a mission.
Police stated that all three of them were pretty drunk when they were arrested. Now that's a real shocker. Vernett Bader was charged with domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature. The roommate was found with stab wounds on his arm, hand, and elbow.
But inquiring minds want to know which Eagles song the roommate was playing that would provoke such a violent reaction from Vernett. The police report didn't say.
The moral of the story: gents, if your lady roommate asks you to stop playing music, singing, talking, or whatever you're doing that's getting on her nerves, you have two choices: either stop doing what you're doing or make sure all the knives are out of the house.
