Puppy Doe has caught the attention of thousands of people across the country and that includes PETA. The horribly abused dog's case made PETA donate money towards the reward to find her abuser.
As of right now, there are varying reward amounts. Some sources say the reward is as high as $15,000; others say it is lower. What is clear is that PETA is donating $5,000 to match the amount offered by the MSPCA. That means there is at least $10,000 being offered to anyone with information on the dog's abuser.
"Someone out there sadistically tortured this puppy over an extended period of time, and that person is dangerous," says PETA Director Martin Mersereau. "Studies show that people who commit sadistic acts against animals are often repeat offenders who move on to human victims-so PETA urges anyone with information about this case to come forward now, before this torturer hurts someone else."
Mersereau seems to be echoing the thoughts of many others who claim that the person or persons responsible for this horrific crime will eventually turn their evil on humans.
If you know anything at all about Puppy Doe or her abusers, please contact the MSPCA or Quincy, Massachusetts police.
This sweet dog deserves justice. No one--animal or human--should ever be subject to such cruelty.
